This is one of my favorite games that I wanted to get into before getting The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Digimon: Next Order, and Horizon: Zero Dawn. I pre-ordered it for Steam. Anyway, what I learned so far, I’ll be going into this game in thorough detail.
What I didn’t expect is facing a whole bunch of enemies that is huge in comparison to yourself. I kept on dying on the first part before I reached the first save point, so I had to keep on starting over. Side note, if you die on the first part, ending unlocked would be W.
Right now, I can equip two weapons with me at all times. One for light attacks. One for Heavy Attacks. Unfortunately, I didn’t like how heavy attacks worked, so my light attacks were spammed repeatedly throughout the first part.
Also, you do have your own projectile spread through your companion. More details on how it works would be in a later post.
At first, I thought this was going to be the boss fight…but I was wrong…
…I was dead wrong. While fighting this boss, I was cringing a bit because if I died now, I would have to restart in the beginning. My advice for the first part is to either lower the difficulty to easy or if you have a controller, use it. It’s a bit simpler than using a keyboard and mouse, and you’ll have a better reaction time, sadly, because there’s several controls you have to utilize while on keyboard and mouse that causes a delay if you’re moving around a bit too fast.
Since this is a network game, you can collect data from other players that fell in battle as well. This includes yourself.
Lag Issue: From what I noticed, when you’re loading up the game for the first time, and the computer isn’t use to NieR: Automata, you might see a lag issue. Other than that, I haven’t noticed any lag issues.
Anyway, that’s my first look on the game. If you guys want, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below.
